Any complaining to refs from a player equals automatic technical.

I don't understand this. Players aren't allowed to show frustration. What is the reasoning?

-Bring back hand checking
-Give defenders their right to space again
-Change the eligibility rules, either let kids go right out of HS or make em stay 3 years in college
-Take away one 4th quarter timeout to speed up endings or go back to a game total of timeouts
-Have refs actually call games by the written rules

Make dunks and layups 1 pt. Game has lost its creativey because it’s only 3pters and bowling ball their way to the goal to draw a foul.

Call moving screens. Guys run up and tackle the defender to cause switches

1) allow defense to be played and get rid of touch fouls

2) stop giving teams 100 timeouts

3) stop playing loud obnoxious rap music during the game

4) have a consistent pattern of uniforms so I can identify who’s playing and familiarize myself with teams.

5) stop promoting woke ideology

Allow gladiator style fights with players and fans. Especially Westcrook. I want to see him go crazy

Don't call fouls when offensive players jump into defensive players will fix 90% of my issues

Making dunks and layups only worth 1 would have the opposite effect that you're looking for. Teams would shoot 50+ threes per night.

A really radical change would be to make twos worth 3 and threes worth 4. If the longer shot was only 25% more instead of 33% more, maybe teams would try playing inside more often.

Quit calling defensive calls when the offensive player clearly leans in and pushes off for a fadeaway. I saw that happen several times during games last night.

It's just not worth watching any longer. The calls are bullshite more than half the time.

ETA: Oh, and get proper refs that don't have an ego problem. The game isn't about you...

Stop awarding players for unorthodox basketball offensive moves meant to just draw fouls.

Stop calling touch fouls for all of superstars and little perimeter players.

Call fouls when defenders maul a big player.

When they started letting people run from the three point line to the goal without dribbling I quit watching.

Stars are untouchable.

No hand check. Offense can perform a flying jump into the defensive player and they get the call 95% of the time...

The flopping is fricking ridiculous.

The end of this gif here has him getting up and running halfway around the fricking court...

Trim it down to 50 games a season.

Get rid of 4 teams. I hate to be one of them, but the Hornets are an abomination. Since they left for NOLA, the Bobcats have been here.

So then there's 3 more franchises to get rid of. I have one in mind.... speaking of...

Its kind of telling that about one in every three suggestions have nothing to do with the game itself.

Basketball is being played by greater and greater physical freaks-- and the court as the smallest physical playing surface in any major sport, is starting to feel those effects. Not a lot to be done about that, unless you want to change the physical court itself.

Hold referees accountable, starting with mandatory press conferences like players and coaches do. Suspend, fine, demote, and fire as needed.

Nothing. It's run it's course. It was a great run, then the woke and Me, Me, Me culture took over.

The NBA is dying a slow death going the way of college basketball which is on life-support these days.
