What are your thoughts on Gary Player?

He appears to be an arrogant a-hole with whom I would hate to be paired up if I were a pro. Any of y’all met him? Did you know he exercises?!

I kinda like his attitude. He is a nice change of pace from the accept yourself how you are that everyone spews these days.

Imagine being one of the best in the world at what you do, and you're an afterthought because you played at the same time as 2 of the absolute greatest to EVER do what you do. I'm sure I'd have a chip on my shoulder/be a bit of an a-hole as well. That being said, I thought everyone thought he was awesome/hilarious?

Seems like kind of a dick sometimes to me. Palmer had this vibe like a friendly grandpa. Player seems like a loudmouth. Just the impression I get.

I know most will disagree, but I don't see him as this old, angel that most do. All the workout stuff just annoys me for some reason. I'm sure if I met him, I'd change my mind.

If I made up a generic good golfer, I would not name him Gary Player because it would be too on the nose

Sure, it can be annoying. But he's in INCREDIBLE shape for 83 and attributes it all to the way he works.
He's simply trying to get it across to everyone that working out and staying active can greatly enhance your life. He just wants the best for people.
