Just don’t see it. Kawhi/Bron combo would be crazy good.

Bron hasn't shown any interest playing with a young team. I don't see it starting now.

They won't be young.

It'll be him, pg, and shipping off a few of those young guys for a 3rd

Nah when healthy he’s a top 5 guy likely. Stud 2 way player that has hit clutch shots in the postseason and already has a finals MVP.

You honestly believe black folk would harm LBJ?

He is Jesus to them.

Hell half the city would skin alive the person who even attempted such a thing.

You underestimate New Orleanians. Drew Brees literally walks home from practices at Tulane.

With both teams over the cap, don't the salaries have to match?
The way I see it explained is that it is defined as "maximum incoming salary", which would be 125% of a team's outgoing salary. But there is no minimum incoming salary that a team has to take back.

So in this example, Houston can only take back 125% of the $35.4 million they are sending out. So they can only take back a maximum $44.25 million.

In Cleveland's case, there is no minimum that they have to take back. Only a maximum of $54.45 that they can take in.

And in Chicago's case, since they are under the cap they can take in whatever.

The other thing is that if Lebron leaves, Cleveland is more limey to blow it up and will surely get out of paying luxury tax, so I don't know why they'd want to sign and trade Lebron, taking on salary in the process.
They would be shedding millions by trading LeBron for Gordon, putting them well below the tax. And they can also flip Gordon for a pick if they wanted to shed salary even more.

Also, that trade would give Cleveland a $22 million dollar TPE... which would be huge for them.

Lebron doesn’t want a good coach. He wants to be in control of everything.

Just shy of utterly impossible. Plus, I'm sick to death of fricking Lebron James.
