So much gets talked about the major rivalries in college sports that drive interest but I feel like the major professional rivalries get forgotten about to some extent. These are the ones that I can think of

NFL: Vikings and Packers, Packers and Bears, Cowboys and Giants, Bengals and Steelers, Raiders and Chiefs, Patriots and following the rules

MLB: Red Sox and Yankees, Dodgers and Giants, Cardinals and Cubs

NBA: Lakers and Celtics...there aren't many others that have had the same impact from decade to decade

Cowboys and Giants,

Not as historically important as Cowboys and Redskins. They've been on prime time more times than any 2 other teams other than Oakland and Denver and I believe they only are behind by one. Also the 2 most valuable franchises in the NFL or 2 of the top 3 because New England sometimes sneaks in at number 2 between them.

Steelers vs. Ravens is far away more of a rivalry than Steelers vs Bengals.

Could probably expand this to Cowboys vs NFC East. All three fanbases would probably have Dallas as their #1 rival/most hated team

The Ravens are the real continuation of the old Browns. No one gives a frick about the nuBrowns

Blackhawks - Red Wings and Bruins-Canadiens for NHL.

Local for us, is the Penguins-Caps.

Underrated as they have sucked for awhile, but Buffalo Bills and NE were some pure hatred amongst the fans.

I'd put Rangers vs. Celtic as the world's best soccer rivalry.
