They are a collegiate summer league team that plays in the Texas League.
The roster consists of players with college eligibility remaining that are getting summer work in to prepare for the next season.

I don't believe you.
Their last season ended in August; their next season doesn't start til June. Very few people give a shite one way or the other when they are playing. I haven't seen any mention of the Rougarou since August.

They play in the Texas Collegiate League. The Texas League is a Double-A Minor League Baseball league and teams are typically affiliated with Major League franchises that pay their players, the TCL is a different league that does not pay their players.

The mascot rode on a float in a Baton Rouge parade and danced with my wife at the Orion Ball. I saw him/her at the Spanish Town parade too, mate.

They play in the Texas Collegiate League. It is a Wooden Bat Developmental League for College Kids to get in work in the summer. There is also a team in Lafayette, Acadiana Cane Cutters, and another in Lake Charles, Gumbeaux Gators, along with 3 in Texas.
