Steal is probably the hardest to get of among the NBA's 5 key stats. There's been 18 times where a player has 10 steals in an NBA game. MJ was the only one to do it in under 30 minutes. He did it in 27 minutes of game play in 1988 vs the Nets.

His ability to hit a single A curveball was on par with a two year old boy hitting the toilet while being potty trained.

Jordan never scored less than 15 points in 179 playoff games.

Michael Jordan’s The Shot was in the goddamn first round of the playoffs. Meaning if it was anyone else in the history of sport, nobody would have given a shite about it.

Proving that MJ’s entire career, while special, has been propped up by weird af psycho super fans in the real world and media alike. His career, on many levels(while amazing), is fake news.

It was also somewhat early on in his career and even then was a big deal. Maybe those fans and media knew something then that everyone knows now, we were watching the greatest ever, without debate Bron boys, become just that. He could have been force fed down our throats since his circus of a hs career. Wait that was Lebron. Talk about fake news.

he hadnt played baseball in over a decade, and by the end of it he was coming around. The organization felt like he was big league bound within a year or so

He slashed .202/.290/.266 over a season. There was no way he would have made it to the big leagues other than publicity stunt.

Edit: to be fair, that’s impressive for someone who hadn’t played baseball in over decade and was put straight into AA ball. His best tool was likely his eye. He drew 51 walks.

He played in every single regular season game (82/82) 9 out of 15 years.

He played 304 straight games from 96-98, winning 3 championships in a row.

respectfully the batting average stats are a bit overused against MJ. He was coming around. he was learning to hit the curve ball.

That was a neat article and seeing that he was improving that average was interesting, but I just don’t see how the White Sox wouldn’t have been able to find an outfielder with a better bat. Even if his average shot up in AA, it’s still a far cry from Major League pitching.
