Where and when would the Baton Rouge game be played?

More complicated question than you think.

But, schools will never go with it because of how long it takes to prepare for a home game, especially one during the holidays.
Yep. After the SECCG, it’s Finals week, commencement, and then LSU shuts off the power for a month. Expanding to 8 means the end of the season will have to be moved up a week. Good luck dragging that boulder up a hill within 10 years.

What? Why not play the first round 2 weeks after the CCGs? Then the semis and CG would be at their normal time.

You act like this is some monumental task, but somehow some way FCS, D2 and D3 can do it without a problem.

That 16 team playoff looks epic to me. Some real fun matchups.

So in an eight team playoff, the championship game would be LSU vs Georgia.

nah, The Ohio State vs LSU/Clemson most likely

Where? Home sites? Not entirely feasible. Several universities close as matters of state law before the second weekend of December

It is.

Far less monumental.

The real kicker would be if teams from down here had to travel up north to play. Florida going to Wisconsin to play in December. I don't think they've played a non conference road game out of the state since the Kennedy administration. Talk about jumping right into the deep end.

Yep, just making Florida play Wisconsin in Madison and Bama play Utah in Salt Lake Lake City alone would be enough to make a 16 team playoff worthwhile

Not until y'all come down here for labor day and play outdoors. None of these dome games with AC. Let's see how funny it is then.

They only play 11 regular season games and don’t have CCGs.

While I agree that very rarely is even #5 good enough to pose a threat in the playoffs-
Wrong gif

2014- #6 11-1 TCU would have absolutely had a good shot

2015- #7 11-1 Ohio state would absolutely have a good shot

2016- 4 was enough

2017-#5 ohio state and #6 auburn absolutely could have won it

2018- #5 uga and #6 ohio state absolutely could have obe it

only 1 year of the playoffs so far can you say there werent other teams with a very legit change of winning it

Exactly right! Every team you listed would have had a good shot to win it all, they just didn't get a chance. They lost it in the committee room because only 4 could be chosen.

That's why I think it should be 8!

Absolutely blows my mind that people could be in favor of an 8 team playoff system, especially when these sort of graphics are posted.

Yal do realize that 6 of the 8 teams already are going to play each other this weekend, right? We already have a pseudo-8 team playoff, not to mention that either Clemson or Utah lose, and they’re out.

We already have a three round playoff system, it just starts this weekend. How the frick does no one seem to understand this?!?!?

And so did you and everyone else. The line was -12.
