re: Westbrook-"I didn't average a triple-double, so anything less is not a good season for me"

Oscar’s triple doubles were more overrated than Russ triple doubles or any current triple double games really.
?????
Was the rest of the team clearing out to let Oscar get uncontested rebounds??? Was there a friendly scorekeeper giving him lenient assists like Russ got? Of course we know there were no 3’s back then

And he played his pro ball in OKC, Houston, and DC. Not New York or LA, which is where the media microscope comes in.
Playing at UCLA and playing for the Lakers are worlds apart unless you have an attention whore dad like the Ball kids.

Can you comment on Luka going another year without a playoff series win? Looks like they are going home in rd 1 again after Kidd had him in up 20 in the last game of the season. This may end up being a good thing tho bc he will be able to use it as an excuse for the series loss and won’t take heat the way he would have if they lost with him playing.
Luka has been fricking incredible his first two years in the playoffs. Anyone who thinks them losing is because of him or should be held against him is an idiot.
Luka has a bunch of average role players that struggle to make wide open shots. Luka by himself pushed the best team in the west, with a bunch of guys made to stop him, to 7 games. It took Kawhi being other-worldly to beat Luka, in Luka’s third year.
Kidd is a joke. He has an amazing staff around him. If Kidd actually stood up for his players, maybe Luka wouldn’t have to take it upon himself to complain to refs so much. Kidd does nothing on sidelines. This shite about playing guys too many minutes for no reason has been going on all year.
Maybe you don’t actually watch basketball, but the league has no fricking idea what to do with Luka. And again, anyone trying to criticize Luka for the playoff stuff is an idiot, which everyone knows you are. Bout to make another 1st team All NBA. That’s 3 in his first 4 years. Next year will be age 23 season.

Teams played faster, got up more shots. A lot of assist and rebound opportunities. I’m not defending Westbrook. Can’t stand the guy. But, people have actually researched the Oscar stuff. The numbers are inflated and overrated.

Westbrook is going to be out of the league soon.

No need to overrate the clippers to boost up Luka. Remember the clippers couldn’t even beat denver. The ONLY team kawhi has beat in a series since joining the clippers is Luka. So I’m not so sure I buy into the juggernaut talk of “they lost because they had to play the best team”. That is why I was hoping Luke was healthy for this series. with a calf injury I am thinking that is two weeks minimum for a mild strain, but I sure hope not.

Mavs offense was 14 out of 30.
Luk Ts .571, league average TS .566
Can we save the “league is fricked” talk for players and teams that are more than a count hair above league average.
