and tigerchief, where did you play high school ball at? I pitched for Belle Chasse and want to make sure it wasn't me you were hitting bombs off of Actually, they've done A LOT of work to the field and surrounding area... They made the fence in the outfield more proportionate.. It used to be a rectangle, 305 in left, 405 in center and 275 In right

They have fixed it up a little, but a school like BC should have a lot nicer of a field. My cousin graduated in '05 and I used to go visit him and we'd play HR derby. Of course, he was a lefty and the rest of us were righties. It was good seeing Dylan and the Thurman boy play the other night at Zephyr.

ETA: Do you live in BC now?

Is he really?

Didnt know they even had a baseball team anymore?

Yeah, he has an extremely uphill battle and that is putting it nicely. I think they were something around 1-23 last year and gave up something silly like 350 runs to 30 runs scored.

Hope he does well, Mike is a great guy.

Yep I sure do... I'm pretty sure I know who your cousin is as well

There was only one person on the team that hit left handed and graduated in 05... He also wore white LSU shrimp boots at his wedding, I was there... Good friend of mine (if you're talking about who I think you are)

The old Northeast High field had a house in left field. The left field pole was about 300 and then it came to a point in left field at about 250 and then back out towards center.

St. Helena also had a short porch in left. There was a wire going about 20 feet above the fence. Over the wire is a home run. Under it is a ground rule double.

Yeah played at Chalmette high school in the '03 playoffs, never seen a weirder field. What are the actual dimensions? Like 390 in left and 240 in dead center?

Someone else mentioned Parkway, which I have heard talked about numerous times because of their 30 foot wall.

I can vouch for gunshots in the middle of a game against Redemptorist. Stopped play for about 30 minutes
