I have GOT to go hit this weekend before my Destin trip. If the range is ugly I ain't dragging my bag along the gulf coast.

I had actually heard a rumor that L'Augusta was for sale at one point, but I don't think there was any truth to it

I would think many of the semi-private clubs are hurting right now in this economy. It takes a good deal of money to keep a course in great shape but it's hard to get enough paying customers if you make the green fees too high.

I heard on the PGA channel on XM yesterday that the average greens fee in the US right now is around $28. That sounds really low to me.

That's probably not including cart is guess

But there are a lot of cheaper muni courses, especially in small cities

TPC Scottsdale cost $35 for all day play (green fee, cart, and range balls included)

Yeah, as others have mentioned already, it is hot as balls out there during this time of year. That rate is also for the Champions Course. The Stadium course is a little more.

Amazing course though. Great experience. Their chicken salad sandwich gets 5 stars and their greens get 500 stars.


Wasn't Net saying that the Oaks was the only place working with a surplus?
