If you keep posting about all this golf you play and the fancy courses you play it at, and then post pics of all the holes, you're going to end up seeing a picture of a hole you might not want to look at

I've played two 'fancy' courses.

I'll start posting pictures of MSU to make ya'll feel better.

Oh, and this is L'Augusta payback.

Things I'd like to stop hearing about in the golf thread:

The word Laugusta
How much gumpfan gets to play
Hatred for white belts and black GOATs

Seeing Duval hitting the same shot 3 times out of the same bunker has me worn out.

People always have that reaction for bentgrass.

Old Waverly's bermuda were amazing. Never seen something roll so true.

Because they roll so much better.

The top notch courses know how to maintain their bermuda greens. I love Lakewood's in NOLA.

I wonder how many times David Duval played that bunker again in his mind, taking the medicine with the first one, and getting off the hole losing 2 strokes.

It usually comes down to you get what you pay for at courses, regardless of bent or bermuda.

Hit a quick nine with my son this evening at the goat ranch by the house. Don't know where my driving came from today but they were straight and very long (for me). A fivesome let us through on #2 (330 yard par 4) and I smashed it right down the middle and was left with 40 yards to the green. Bested that on the next hole a par 5 and best drive of the day on #5, a dogleg right par 5. Best part was the guys picking up tree limbs on the course were coming down the fairway in a Toyota Tacoma when the saw me on the tee. I was going to wait and let them pass but they stopped and waved for me to go ahead and hit. Drive went right at them and flew over the hood; hole was playing 520 and when I got to the ball I had about 205 to the green. They had stayed there and were showing me where the ball hit. I told my son he just witnessed a RYNOBOMB! He was puzzled (he doesn't know about this board)

Shot of the day though was leaving a 10' birdie putt on the 215 yard par 3....which I drained. Shot a 40, considering the tiny sloped greens, St. Aug fairways, and not warming up I was thrilled.

Thibby, they actually have grass on the greens. It looks like the new owner is trying to improve the place but it will take a long time.
