I have officially put both of the Cameron's back in the storage unit and put the Wilson 8802 back in the bag. Putting the way God intended...

If I putt decently I'll go low.

Until recently I was the opposite of what you put up beaver, my short game made up for horrendous driving and iron play

Agreed... and all of my putting problems started when I got invested in all of this new technology. I'm a feel player and I need a feel putter.

I think it's more of how many of those you are hitting well.

1/4 - break 100
2/4 - break 90
3/4 - break 80
4/4 - break 70

On LaTours greens I am usually lights out. Wedges are decent, spray everyhing else, shoot 90-95

ETA: If I hit the ball anywhere near like I did with Net yesterday and avoid compounding errors low 80's wouldn't be out of the question. I had a few birdie putts of reasonable distance but it is hard to make anything at Bayou

You don't have to do everything great to break 70. Wedge it good and putt decent and you're breaking par.

Good wedges and putting have turned 110's into 90's for me

ETA: I showed net the pic of what PCIGC has become

Agreed, if I couldn't hit my wedges I couldn't break 80 much less 70.

Right, just keep it in play. If an avid golfer who shots in the 80s REALLY wanted to be good they would just need to have dedicated practice of the short game and they could get to around scratch in a few years.

You didn't hit it that bad other than 1 hole IIRC

Not on the fairway is bad.

I think my irons are what keeps me from going postal out there.

spot on... it's practice, practice, practice. and for some of us, it's playing the right course. short courses with lots of wedges into the greens and I can go low. courses that set up with long irons into greens and I'm struggling to keep it in the 70's and if i'm playing poorly end up in the mid 80's.

in short, golf is a f'd up game and i can't decide if i hate it or love it. but i'm siding with hate.
