The guys I played with today and the asst. pro were outdriving my 3W by at least 75 yards. 
One guy was the worst putter I've seen. The second had some pretty terrible approach shots.
So they'd bomb it off the tee, but I'd slowly get up there and score the same as them or better. Well besides the asst. pro, though he did play pretty mediocre.

In houston for the summer working. Buddy and I are thinking of playing tour 18 this weekend. You all have any better suggestions? I can get a deal of golf now for around $40. Open to ideas though. TIA

Someone on here played Tour 18 last week I think. Hopefully they can give you a report on the condition.

If you are talking about cutting from the butt this statement is false. Butt cutting will not change any specs of the shaft. Tip cutting will increase stiffness but not really change the kick point.

maybe true, you may see a slight decrease in clubhead speed but if you can hit the ball in the center of the club more consistant (increased smash factor) you will see a gain in distance.

Nah, we're good...we have the mechanic for all the mowers at the course everyday
