I think the stiffer shaft (giggidy) producing lower shots is what I was getting at

How hard is it to get this extension out, and add one that would extend the shaft to 45 inches, and have it work properly....i.e., not feel like the grip is flexing in my hand at the start of the downswing?

This easy...

BTW I can't stop laughing at this gif

I may have to cut it to 44, and just see what that gets me. I really don't want to buy a new 45 inch shaft, when what I thought what I was getting was an intact 45 inch shaft.

It had been a standard 45 inch shaft, that was cut to 43, and then extended back to 45 inches.

I'll sell you an extra stiff Grafalloy epic shaft that is 43" now after it snapped off at the head of my old driver.

Nah.. I'm not trying to screw you.

It cost me $149.99 new and I'll let it go for a paltry $125.

It even comes with a full cord Lamkin grip in very good condition. A free $10 addition.

Not if I can get a shaft to cut down and put on the head for my little girl to hit.

What I mean is that if you are worried enough about the shafts performance to ask about it on here, there is no point in playing a standard length shaft that:

a) doesn't feel right
and
b) isn't a true standard shaft

The specs have changed. If you want to play a standard length shaft with measurable specs, get a new shaft.

Essentially I have fully functioning 43 inch shaft right now. I'd just need to get the POS extension removed and have it regripped, again.

I'd invest in a new shaft.

Cutting it down 2" increased the stiffness and changed kickpoint. It also hurts you on distance because the clubhead speed is slower with the shortened shaft.

Too bad. I thought I was buying a standard 45 inch shaft.

From now on, I'll have to have all the grips removed before I buy clubs to make sure they weren't cut, extended, and regripped to appear as if they are standard length shafts.

Thanks for the help.
