Playing Tour18 here in a couple of weeks. How is it? Seems like it will be a blast.
It was awesome when I played it. fricking hard as shite for a slicer. And TPC sawgrass #17 can go frick itself.

Played it from the golds a few weeks ago and had a 6 iron into the green

Yeah #17 is pretty intimidating if you aren't confident in your irons/wedges.

really not hard to clear the trees from the blues with a good drive
The trees at the end of the pond? I just looked at it on google earth and from the tips you would be looking at a 300+ carry to clear them on a straight line, and I never really looked at it but it seems like the trees to the left of the tee would come into play from back there.

I think Atchfalaya could have been a lot better if not for the few goofy holes and routing through a park. There were obviously some acreage constraints they had to work around, but #6 is just a stupid hole. A par 5 where unless you can hit a big cut on demand you can't hit anything more than hybrid. Tried to slice a 3w, hit it dead straight over the fairway bunker and lost my ball.

So how does the up/down vote thingy work with this thread?

This thread is way too fricking long. I can't go an hour of not reading without having to scroll through 4-5 pages of new posts

I went over those trees on the right.. But was still not clear of the dog leg going back left and had to lay up.

Never have trouble with 6. Hybrid then 5-6 iron leaves you a wedge in. Just got to play smart on that hole. You can go driver and clear the trees but it's a big risk and it's still hard to be clear of the second set of trees left. All 4 par 5 there are pretty tough and pay risky tee shots.
