So, does anyone else enjoy going out on a weekday morning and playing a round by yourself as much, if not even a little more than playing with a group? I've had some free time on Wednesdays recently, so I'll go play by myself in about 2 and a half hours, work on some things on the course, and not see a soul out there. Honestly, it's one of my favorite things to do now.

I would love to do that once a week.

ETA: I hit snooze 3 times before work, but wake up always 15 min before the alarm if its morning golf hahaha

Co-worker and I used to go play Copper Mill about once a month at their earliest tee time (6:20ish).

We were in the office before 9am.

I haven't played a round of golf with anyone except for 6 holes one day this whole year.

Earlier in the year, when it was still cold and rainy. I'd go out when the rain stopped and I could get in a round in almost 2 hours. Played pretty fast 18 yesterday.

I love playing by myself.

That's basically my attitude, but I don't mind it at all since the renovations...

i dont see it getting a whole lot of use as a regular park though

but it may save brec some on overhead/maintenance

eta: but then again, it won't generate anything either

Ya, I just don't see people laying there next to the train tracks to picnic. They are already doing that at BR Beach...if they wanted to make everyone happy:

Turn the north side (Holes 1-3; 8-9) into a short game improvement/teaching center. Then flip the middle four holes into a traditional park.

It could even be the First Tee course and they could close Howell.

eta: hopefully they won't close it

We know it's on the National Register...they did that so they could justify the renovations.

I mentioned that in last week's thread before Weaver started this one.

Taking a course from the NHR is blasphemy. Leave it to the hippies to wanna make a hacky sack park out of it.

Clark is the first tee course. But they should close Howell and Clark

And the monkey bars that will take over.
We live on the course, there's a lot of people that will bend over backwards to make sure it doesn't happen

Good. It's a nice 9 hole muni.

Lots of people, who wouldn't be comfortable on a track, like Beaver or S.M., use it and enjoy it.

I hate the course, haven't played it since elementary school. But to tear it down would be ridiculous
