Oh well the link is no longer working. It was a fake memo from Sepp Blatter to all of the people drawing the ping pong balls tomorrow.
Memo to those drawing from the pots:
England ball will be ice cold
United States ball will be warm
Argentina ball will be rough to the touch
Mexico ball will be dimpled

Unfortunately, it does seem true to form, doesn't it?

wouldn't a blindfold and a glove solve almost all of this?
Posted on 12/3/09 at 5:14 pm to Feed Me Popeyes
FIFA would need to call an extraordinary meeting and then after the meeting tell the world they are trying to fix the glove system.

Lalas said he already assumes USMNT gets drawn into the group of death.

Ronnie Mex is back and Charlie Davies has returned to Twitter. All is well in the soccer world.

that would be consistent with the last 2 cups

Yeah the soccer world wants to proliferate the perception that we suck. No one want's to lose to us, I think they are worried what might happen if we get a little momentum into the second round. Just remember the Gold cup. We should have won that.

I will still never understand how 3 world top 10 teams ended up in the same group in 06

Group E: France, Portugal, Chile, South Korea Group F: Brazil, Netherlands, Ghana, New Zealand
This could never happen cus france is not a top seed and netherlands is. none of the teams in pot1 will play each other until knock out stages

Any of y'all heading down to S.A. for the WC?

Posted on 12/3/09 at 8:52 pm to Foot
I just figured out that SA is 8 hours ahead of cst.
I hate the time zone difference, it makes it hard to watch games live. Thank goodness for tivo.
Posted on 12/3/09 at 9:03 pm to ezride25
The time difference will only be seven hours for the World Cup itself because South Africa does not observe daylight saving time. But until we spring forward, eight hours it is.

Good point I wasn't smart enough to realize all of that.
