Was Terrell Davis' 1998 season the best ever for a running back?

Didn't LT have a year where he caught 100 balls plus over 1000 rushing and like 28TDs? Or was the year he scored all those TDs a different season?

I've read on here that Cam Newton is on pace to be the best RB of all time!!!

/troll

TD was a monster. I never got to watch his games live but I've watched both Superbowls and many highlight clips. Fantastic vision. It was like Elway had to retire with a ring (or two) and out popped Davis to help deliver it at the tail end of Elway's career.

5.3 ypc........ Every good running back in the NFL can beat that.

I think he's on pace for top 5 in TDs, which is crazy.

Out of the top 40 rushers (running backs) in 2015, Thomas Rawls is the only to beat 5.3 YPC...and he only carried the ball 147 times.

Terrell Davis went for nearly 2,500 yards in 1998 while averaging 5.3 YPC.

Yeah that's what I was referring to. There was an aubie fan that tried to claim he'd be one of the best RBs ever, while being an all pro QB. I figured I could throw that in here

His TD rate is slowing down though. I think he can finish in the top 10 though. Still absurd.

That's also accounting for playoff defenses too.

I would have gone with one of Faulk's seasons (2000) when he was with the Rams over the his '98 season.

IMO, his 1999 and 2000 seasons were both better than 1998.

Fairly or unfairly, I knock him for being a Shanahan RB.
