LSU fan, so I can't be objective but I would agree with this if I were an outsider.

I only agree because I think after both sides threw two interceptions, they didn't want to be the one to throw a 3rd and lose the game. Just wanted to play for OT.

Now, in the NC game, I guarantee Les will pull out the stops if its another knock down drag out war.

I agree that it was very anti-climatic the way both teams were content with OT.

I guess my Purple and gold glasses are too thick because i thought it was a hell of game with two teams that beat the shite out of each other.

Boring, in that it was so intense you didn't want to move from your seat. Riveting

Don't know if it was a boring game or not. I didn't watch it. That's how much I didn't care. It's hard for me to watch games unless a team I care about is playing.

I'm no fan of Rick Reilly but this pretty much sums up the non-LSU/Bama public opinion:

"If you remember, LSU won the first game -- which resembled hippos taking a mud bath -- 9-6 (in OT, no less), in Tuscaloosa. Didn't hurt the Tide any. They're going to get a mulligan if we don't stop it. You have to figure, too, that, if Alabama had won, then LSU would only have one loss and the Tigers would get the redo. This is because, apparently, no conference can really play football in this country except the SEC, which invented the sport in 2006."

it was an underwhelming game

truth be told it wasn't a great defensive battle,, it was poor offense and coaches playing not to lose as opposed to win

if Bama had a placekicker then the games would have legitimately sucked

I didnt think it was boring because i almost had like 7 heart attacks and almost crapped myself in excitement as we lined up for the game winning FG

If that had been a hugely publicized game between the top 2 teams in the Big Ten this board would have gone nuts critcizing the game and how "boring" it was. There is your answer.

yeah that is because the winner of the big ten game would get waxed by some SEC team in the BCS

No, it wasn't boring at all.

But then again, I enjoy soccer.

and yes, if you didn't care about the outcome and just wanted to watch a good game, it was terrible to watch

You're an LSU fan. Your opinion doesn't matter in this thread.

It wasn't called the game of the century because the game was so good. It was because the teams are so good and it had NC implications, in the middle of the season no less.

Why? Big Ten defenses suck compared to LSU and Alabama's this year.

Did you find the first LSU/Bama game mind numbing boring like many sports writers do?

Im a USC fan, so I dont really consider them a "shite" team

I saw it as a defensive struggle with enough going on to keep me entertained, i didnt think it was boring at all

Not as boring a blowout is when your team isn't involved. Was about what a fan of cfb should have expected going in, although i predicted more of a 16-10 Bama win.

The great LSU D still gave up 500 yards to a crappy WVU team. Not saying they aren't a very good unit, but teams can move the ball on them at times
