I am sure the Coors folks loved hearing a Denver quarterback talk about drinking a rival's beer.

It sounded like he had rehearsed that answer in preparation of the, "Is this your last game " question.

"Drinking some budweisers" was Manning's way of getting paid $2m

Just read on ESPN that Budweiser did NOT pay Manning to endorse their beer. That's some huge free publicity - better than their commercials.

If I remember correctly, active NFL players cannot be paid spokespersons for alcohol companies.

So...this might be a I'm retiring soon type of move. Get the advertisement job after you are no longer active.

He also owns a stake in some Bud distilleries.

But he sure as frick made sure he hugged Papa John and got him on camera.

Most times Manning talks - it's rehearsed and prepped and he knows the mic is on him. He's very PR and probably way different IRL.

Family, kids, god, Busweiser - he sounds like a scripted Nascar driver and knows what the southern public wants to hear.
