Well he's basically copped to it without explicitly copping to it. Saying you're going to counseling is also supposed to make you sympathetic. Clearly scripted PR.
I'd argue her response was worse, as she's still basically lying about it which looks extra stupid considering he's essentially confessing.

I don't think anyone with a few brain cells thinks this, or should. I will say that I won't pretend to know what is/was going on in either of their personal lives, but as a married man myself, the pics that we saw........absolutely no way I'm remotely behaving like that with another woman, whether she is married or not.
And if this has been going on as long as people speculate, I doubt his wife was just blindsided by this. She probably knew, is more embarrassed than anything, and this is basically personal PR.

It's just PR bullshite to pretend like Patriots care about his personal life to appease the virtue signalers.
The guy cheated on his wife and got caught. Either he asks for forgiveness, his wife forgives him (or at least accepts what he did), and they move on...or she doesn't forgive him and the marriage ends. Go to all the counseling or public BS you want. Those are the only two outcomes.
As long as he is winning football games the Patriots organization doesn't really care what happens in his personal life.

Like, "This situation is really serious! Our coach needs counseling! But it's not serious enough to miss the first 2 days of the draft"
Either skip the whole draft or start counseling on Monday.
