I am scouting to decide whether I go all in on an SEC school since we let ND in the ACC as a partial member...it is like being back in the Big East

ACC isn't horrible but it is so damn unpredictable. There are some teams with talent (FSU NCSU UNC Tech) but the bottom is just bad though.

FSU and Clemson are the only two good teams and "good" may even be a stretch for Clemson.

If you match up the ACC 5-14 with another conference besides SEC they compete with them well. I think you have to decide what your definition of horrible/trash is though.

It's just been a dreadful year for the conference in terms of contenders. Virginia Tech is having its worst year since joining the conference, Miami is down, Virginia is a disappointment, Georgia Tech... , etc.
I will credit Duke for overachieving this year.
