I'm not sure why you think a person disagreeing with you means they are offended.

It wasn't even a hard disagreement. I asked you what else Pitt had and you couldn't answer so I'm sticking by saying that I see no reason to think VT should be on upset watch for Pitt.

And Duke was a 1-11 squad for years and went to the ACC championship last year.

That really isn't a feather in Pitt's hat.

Again, I just wanted to know what else they had besides an RB who piles up yards against bad defenses. Are they loaded with seniors? Has the recruiting been on the uptick? Did they get some kick arse transfer?

Nobody here seems to know anything other than "they have a beast RB" so I remain skeptical of Pitt.

You're the touchy one brah. I asked you a simple question b/c I'm skeptical of a constantly mediocre team and you decided that meant I was mad.

It's so ridiculous. I mean Auburn would beat every team on this list by 3 TDs easily. As it is we are going to have to play 8 ranked teams before we even possibly get to ATL and then three more from there to win a national title. I love college football but stuff like this makes it hard to take seriously.

the schedules are obviously completely unbalanced but thats not really VTechs fault

their conference just sucks arse. they scheduled a big time OOC game and won so its not any different than the big SEC schools besides they are in a wayyy shittier conference

Probably doesn't make a big difference, but to be fair, they also play Georgia Tech at home. OP left that one out.

No I know it's not VT's fault it's just crazy how bad the ACC and how good the SEC, particularly the West, is.

I just said they'd have their hands full with Conner. Sure they can beat them but it's a mid season road game. Ripe opportunity for an upset.

Depends on a few factors. This team is really young. Not Tennessee young, but Freshman and Redshirt Freshman make up almost 50% of the 2 deep. The biggest factor for me is the health of the dline as the season progresses. Starters look fine, but their is a noticeable drop off from the first and second strings on that unit. Pitt game could be a tough one since our defense is tailored for spread teams, but a bit light in the britches for handling pro style teams with big physical offensive lines. If I had to guess right now, that'd be the only game I'd pencil a loss in for.

Alas, the ECU upset talk is just a waste of breath. This secondary is loaded and running the Air Raid against them is not going to lead to a successful day in Blacksburg.

Why? They would be 14+ point underdogs.

I was impressed with their playcalling against OSU. They were very creative and balanced. Didn't look like the typical vtech teams of the last 10 years or so.
