Because you are 17 years old and the driver just ran you into a wall.

This is just a sad situation. You can't run on the track, no matter how mad you are. I feel so bad for that guy and his family. I really don't know what to say anymore.

We have seen drivers do that numerous times
Never seen a driver "buzz their tower" like TS did

And yeah you can see ward's butt is on the ground and his chest was folded over and on the ground too. Awful

I don't watch enough racing, but do tracks try to prevent that? (for this exact reason)

Yeah, fines and suspensions usually.

I've signed a couple.

And there's nothing in there about another driver not being able to be charged, or sued, due to negligence because he hit me.

Exactly. I am hammered right now and if I had been driving I would not have hit him, and I am not one of the best drivers in the world and sober!

Well if he'd have stayed in his damn car he most likely wouldn't have lost his life.

His car was wrecked. It's not like he threw his flashers, parked it, then hopped out to yell at Stewart.

You have to figure after this they might do more? Nascar can be somewhat reactionary with safety stuff right?

It's such an avoidable tragedy. If either driver keeps any semblance of a cool head then none of this shite happens, but instead, someone is dead.

Who gives a frick?

It doesn't matter what he did. A person has zero right to drive into someone.

The logic some of you post here is absolutely outregeous

So from that one tweet earlier in the thread Tony Stewart tried to load up and haul arse out of there right after the incident?

Via a Sprint car guy on a message board I frequent

quote:

Rumor is that TS went to pits and had crew change the right rear tire. Putting a left rear on the right side. No idea if he was trying to hide teh tire or was changing the roll out to make it look as if it could not kick out and the guy actually walked into tire on his own.
