The family will file a civil suit and Stewart and his people will settle out of court.

I don't think anyone really believes Stewart hit the kid on purpose. That would be psychopathic behavior.
But the video and eyewitness accounts clearly show a reckless disregard for human life. Stewart fricked up and a kid might be dead. He should have to face the consequences.

People seem to be forgetting this is Tony fricking Stewart, not some normal person. He is one of the best 50 or so drivers on the planet, the car does what HE wants. Rummy has summed it up perfectly, he tried to scare the kid and ended up killing him and that is illegal.
