Do you really need ESPN to put it up to buy it? It's obvious that something serious happened.

the guy he hit was drunk and jumped out in front of his vehicle while Stallworth was in his lane

Nope but I have watched people get out of their cars and approach somebody who has hit them or taken them out.

So then you haven't seen this a million times. This is pretty unprecedented territory obviously because as you know every situation is different.

Yes, because ESPN is known for being prudent and covering their arse.

They do sometimes. They didn't report that 2nd Roethlisberger rape for like a week.

quote:

"There has been an incident at a race track involving Tony Stewart. One person is reportedly dead; a police investigation is underway. We will update this story as more details become available."

But I agree this covers them plenty.

Twitter posts aren't allowed as sources on TD but ESPN should run them?

Huh?

Twitter posts from reputable sources are perfectly fine sources on TD, WTF are you talking about. There also seems to be reputable people Tweeting on the subject.

Again, why can they not report that:

"There has been an incident at a race track involving Tony Stewart. One person is reportedly dead; a police investigation is underway. We will update this story as more details become available."

All depends on who they can get to confirm it was Stewart involved to begin with. This is a little bit different then a Lebron trade.

The dude DS hit was also drunk and wondered in front of him IIRC.

I am referring to the fact that it is pretty dang hard to hit somebody in this situation unless you do it intentionally.

I worry about some of you...

NO... I BUY IT!

I'm wondering why ESPN is not reporting on the death of a driver at a track, when it's apparent that an individual involved is a huge name in the sport!

Not really just surprised that they aren't on top of it, being the "sports leader" and all.

Apparently not and accidents do happen that's why they're call accidents.

I am reserving judgement.

A lot of tracks will pay a big name NASCAR guy to come in and run a show at their place and sign some autographs to get more fans in the seats.
