Iowa game resuming at 12:45.
I honestly am shocked. About 5 years ago, LSU's opener with McNeese started at 6:30, went about 5 minutes into the 1st quarter, then the weather hit. By 10:00 or so, the game had been officially called off. LSU trainers and doctors advised that playing much later than that would put the players at a much greater risk of injury because their bodies would be more fatigued, they hadn't had a normal meal, etc.
I know Nevada needs the guarantee money, but there is probably an insurance policy covering the game. In the case above, McNeese got paid because the game was insured.
Football at 1am seems like a horrible idea. I hope nobody gets hurt.

I remember a long time ago Oklahoma St/Tulsa waited out a weather delay past midnight to kickoff. I tried staying up to watch it. But had to turn in sometime around halfway through.

In a blowout win that lasted into the wee hours of the morning, Iowa was putting the backups in the 4th quarter except for the QB. Spencer Petras played every snap. That's how stubborn Ferentz is about the QB situation. He's afraid the backup might come in at 1AM and look halfway competent.
