They did not have a try out. If they had had a try out, they would have seen very quickly that their punter (who punted seven times for 43.3 yards against Missouri) had a stronger leg.

Sarah Fuller got a big ol fat coochie

Can you imagine how emasculating it was for these platers after getting beaten by 41 by a mediocre Mizzou team to have to answer questions from the media about this girl and how great this is?

Anybody who believes she had the strongest leg over half of the team...including linemen...is living in a gum-drop house in Lollipop land.
There are exactly 0 players on any d1 footfall team that are incapable of a 30 yard squib kick with a running start and 5 days of practice.

You are retard. Get yourself checked out.
Women cannot do physical feats at the level men can. They just can't. It's not possible. You can literally pick any physical feat in the world, weight lifting, running, jumping, etc, or any physical sport, basketball, baseball, football, soccer, tennis, etc, find the best woman of all time to preform that feat, and i can find some Louisiana high school kid that could do better. That isn't an exaggeration either, you can look up world records from anything, and compare it to the LA state championships from this past year, and you're very likely to find that several boys outperformed whatever the world record is for women.
To think she has the best leg on campus is incredibly naive.

The interim coach is saying she is playing regardless if they have better kickers back on the team that have been there all year. Could get interesting.
Where’s the dumbass who insisted that this isn’t a publicity stunt?

In the spirit of equality, im hoping she gets a chance at a 1 on 1 open field tackle.

There are people who think this is an insult to women for some reason. It isn't. It's science and genetics.
I always use Brittney Griner as an example. She was arguably the most dominant player in the history of women's college basketball. She was 6'8 and could barely dunk. We had a guy like that in high school. He sat at the end of the bench despite being 5 inches taller than anyone else on the team.

Kenny McIntosh has been one of the best kick returners in the conference. I'd love to see him line up at the 35 yard line, catch a kickoff on the fly, and see what happens if it looks like she might have to make a tackle. McIntosh would fricking flatten her and put a quick end to this little experiment.

quote:Fake news. It was posted earlier in this thread that Vandy’s backup punter was place kicker in HS and only missed one FG his senior year. Plus there’s a former all-state HS kicker that’s a current Vandy student (not on FB team) and they never brought him in to tryout. Pretty sure anybody who was a good HS place kicker can kick a ball further than 30 yards off a tee

She should be the interim head football coach and the staff and players should be required to sit down and listen to her daily inspirational speeches about How to be a Winner at Sports.
This will cause those Male Supremacists to check their Male Privilege.
I'm all for it.

He probably wasn't on campus and hadn't been cleared by the NCAA.

This is where it gets ridiculous. Everyone already on that team could have squibbed a kickoff. Everyone.

Can y'all stop using this as a taking point? Many already on the team would have done better

During the darkest of the dark Bob Toledo years, Tulane used a defensive linemen for kickoffs. I believe he was a Nigerian from Houston with a soccer background, but he still was over 250 lbs and did a pretty good job.
Vandy had nothing like that on its 85 man roster?
