Basically, they’re saying their logo has been embraced by hate groups. This sounds like a great for people to dictate the terms of any name. Don’t like the Gators? Just join the KKK and wear a Gator head instead of a white hood.

The Drew family doesn’t deserve this

I wonder if they found out that the KKK’s most prominent newspaper is “The Crusader”

Anything tied to any group of people in history is on the table for cancellation these days. It seems like only animals are acceptable mascots, and sometimes that is even too much for the cancel culture to handle.

Oh my god, so let's completely erase the word from the Dictionary all together, right tard?

I hear they're changing their logo to this:

Because at least we can still all agree that we don't like killer Lizard People from another planet.

For now, at least.

The decision comes after a decadeslong debate that had intensified recently because groups such as the Ku Klux Klan began using the symbols and words.

Who is actively checking their correspondence to see what symbols and words they're using these days?

The KKK must love all the free publicity they get from SJWs to keep them relevant.

I bet the Panthers won’t feel obligated to change their name for historical purposes.

Call them the Knights Templar. That isn't tied to the KKK.

It boggles my mind how people can be brainwashed into thinking like this.

Why do we let people on the fringes of society determine what our symbols mean? Ignore them.

Every time I think we've hit a low for the quality of your posts, you find a way to outdo yourself.

If teams actually tried to come up with decent replacement names, I don’t think people would hate these changes as much.

North Dakota: Fighting Sioux to Hawks
ULM: Indians to Warhawks
Redskins to Washington Football Team

All those are objectively worse and have no meaning. No doubt Valpo will become the battle birds or some shite.

You’ve got people stupid enough to buy into it, because it’s simply easier than thinking for themselves. They wait for the next thing they’re supposed to be outraged about, then pounce.

Don't say that too loud. White privilege, white guilt, white fragility, white supremacy, whiteness and all of that. You enjoy it every day so they say.

The negative connotation and violence associated with the Crusader imagery are not reflective of Valpo's mission and values, which promote a welcoming and inclusive community,"interim president Colette Irwin-Knott said. "This is the decision that best reflects our values and community."

Something something cookie cutter bullshite something. It’s meaningless. Bend the knee or we’ll make you disappear...and they’re doing it every day. This country is scary as hell right now.

The empty can rattles the most. The reason these stories get so much publicity is because of the absurdity value. They’re being laughed at.
