I checked the reddit College Basketball sub and they are advocating cancelling March Madness entirely. I couldn't imagine being such a fricking loser to want to outright cancel March Madness because of one positive test.

I knew it was going to be total hysteria before I checked it, I just was surprised at how it was pretty much a consensus. These supposed college basketball fans who are begging for there to be... no college basketball

I got banned from the College Football subreddit back in April for asking why supposed college football fans were so desperate for there not to be college football in the fall.

Noles have a game this evening against an opponent who hasn't played the COVID card and cancelled the game.

Color me suspicious about the dookies and cavs.

No they aren't. They are advocating canceling the ACC tournament, which honestly wouldn't be a terrible idea. It was a dumb fricking decision for the NCAA to have the conference tournaments and NCAA tournaments back to back like this because of this exact situation. The money the conferences would lose by canceling the last 2 days of this tournament pales in comparison to the money they'd lose by not having their best teams in the NCAA tournament.

Didn't they start the cancellation domino last year?

Nah ACC was one of the last tournaments to cancel that day when it happened.

Uva player tested positive, not much you can do about it.

UVa certainly wasn’t fearful of playing Carolina again.

Every team tests every day pretty much from the start of the conference tournaments until the end of the NCAA tournament.

Are UVA and Kansas now out of the NCAA tourney? How long does a player in contract tracing have to remain in quarantine?

Still up in the air for UVA. Likely will have to play without some of the team for Round 1, and the NCAA will need to give them a Saturday slot for their first game.

Funny how Covid is becoming an issue for so many teams at this moment.

I wish the P5 schools would have simply given their players the J&J vax a few weeks ago. The financial health of the NCAA is at stake with this tourney. If they can give the vax to healthy, 25 year old teachers, why not players?

Wut? What basketball coach worries about injuries? Maybe time to rest up would make sense

So Georgia Tech played one game and had to hang on to beat lowly Miami and they will play in the ACC Title game. Wild times

I mean they earned the right over the course of the season. They likely would have finished 3rd if VT hadn’t opted out of so many games.

Florida State is playing their first game of the tournament tonight lol
