Brunson would have never developed into the player he is today if he stayed in Dallas and played alongside Luka

I’m a Mavs fan, and letting Brunson walk, Cuban selling the team, and giving away Luka in the worst trade of my lifetime across any sport, has tanked my investment in the team. I barely paid attention this year to them, outside of seeing what Flagg did.

Letting him walk for nothing was a head scratcher at the time. Had they resigned him they probably beat Boston two years ago and Luka is probably still a Maverick.

There will be many books & documentaries made about what Nico Harrison did to the Mavericks franchise. I’m a former season ticket holder who will never give another dime to the franchise as long as current ownership is still there & they aren’t going anywhere unfortunately.

He was ready to sign a very team friendly deal before his last season in Dallas. But then he balled out and his value became too much for that team friendly deal. As much as I liked Cubes as an owner, that was a Jerry Jones level blunder along with dismantling the 2011 team the summer after the championship.
