You can do better than that insult.

I’ll give you a mulligan.

My eye test says you are better than that.

You are supposed to earn your way in to the title game or playoffs. You are not suppose to get in because people feel you are the best team.

If a team can’t even win their own division, they have no business playing in the playoffs or title game in CFB. Plain and simple.

Just because you were able to win a one or two game tournament despite not winning the 13 game one doesn’t mean your deserved the title. This isn’t college basketball.

I don't see any argument for Utah.

not happening, dude. just telling you now so you don't get your hopes up.

I definitely don’t have my hopes up. If we make it in great (though not very confident at all about winning it all) but if not oh well.

But you really don’t know 100% that a 1 loss OU or Baylor team will make it in over a 1 loss Bama team (assuming they crush AU which is a pretty big if). The reason I say this is where OU is ranked now. They’re a big name P5 team whose only loss came to a team the committee had as ranked while they also beat TWO teams the committee has as ranked. Yet despite that they were 9th.

Baylor was even less respected at 14. You would think that at least OU would be over Bama, Utah, or Oregon last week but it doesn’t seem the committee has a lot of respect for them. And wins like the one against TCU only hurts not helps them. They could still make it in over Bama, I just wouldn’t say that confidently.

If a 12-1 power 5 conference champion gets left at home over an 11-1 2nd in the division/Tua-less Bama, then it’s clear we are doing all this wrong.

Who is better at football, Bama or Utah?

I believe that is supposed to be the question. I believe I read that somewhere.

And we all know the answer isn't close.

I'm far from a Bama fan, but this isn't actually an argument. If two of the best four teams are in the same division, then they should still get in.

I find it completley bullshite that they always have to lose twice to be out of the playoffs. Even with that shite schedule and no conference championship. Had LSU lost the same way we wouldn't even be talking about them.

Oh Jesus TF Christ, dude, get over yourself.

LSU won the focking BCS with two losses. Punch yourself hard in the dick. Nobody is biased against your dumb arse or the institution you attended (or just root for).

Again, simply not true. Expressly and objectively untrue in all respects.

So let’s say Bama loses to auburn on an onside kick recovery plus a Hail Mary after leading the whole game

Now they have 2 losses

But your argument is still intact.

That’s what makes it a flawed position.

That is the problem with the eye test bullshite.

If a team loses to two teams that are better than Utah, and that team is still subjectively better than Utah, why shouldn’t they get in?

It’s all crap.

They need defined requirements.

Well our strength of schedule/resume is much better, and Bama was a road game for us.

So it would at least make sense coming from us

Utah is definitely better than Oregon and should not lose that PAC 12 title game. Rough break for Utah that the ducks no showed last night

defined requirement would be terrible tbt. Eye test is subjective.

the eye test and the better loss

This is the problem with the system in a nutshell. Repeat this to yourself a few times and think about how dumb it sounds.

4 best resumes (wins!), not the 4 best "looking" teams. If not, why even play the games.
