Well we saw who chris wanted to team up with. Now melo favors chris/James over kyrie/Lebron. Think that should point you in right direction of where the players in the league feel like this is trending.

100%.he wants to leave and doesn't want to be painted as the bad guy again. Gonna see leaks all though out the season to paint Gilbert as the bad guy then Lebron will play it off as "I had no choice".

Very true, and take it to the bank that Lebron is hasta la vista baby outta Cleveland after this year.

Love is the reason lebron did not win this time.

They traded for an all star scorer rebounder.
He was supposed to rise up and smite the goldies.
His numbers were top 5 guy before cleveland. Its on love. Did he knock down open jumpers when the close one in cleveland fell apart? That must have been demoralizing for all concerned.

Yep, 100% on Love... Did you see when he didn't guard Durant on that dagger type three at the end? What about that off-balance fade away that he bricked with around a minute or so left. Horrible. White men can't jump.

It's not Love fault they didn't win. Or anyone else on the Cavs. Kevin Durant, a guy who is a for sure HOF and likely all time great scorere. Joined a team that went 73-9.

99.9% of basketball teams throughout all of history would have lost that series against the Warriors

If the Warriors would not have acquired KD, Cavs win themself another championship. Easily.

I look back through the pantheon of champions and I do not see a team that would have beaten this year's Warriors.

MJ's Bulls? Nope.

Showtime lakers? Nah.

Celtics dynasty?

Timmy's Spurs? Lolnope

Lebron a whiney bitch. It seems like he's always crying about something. Just retire already.

Why are most assuming LeBron leaves? Probably because CLE leadership botched it...again.

They just went to three straight finals. How can one say that the Cleveland brass botched anything? They moved Wiggins to get Love like LeBron wanted. They put role players around him. They retained his buddy at over market for him. Now LeBron is concerned that they can't get another all star on the team. What does he think they can do? The Love move didn't make sense. He doesn't fit with that group. LeBron got Love and it isn't enough to deal with the Warriors. Not sure what else could be done given Cleveland's cap situation.

Right? It took one of the flukiest shooting performances I've ever seen to keep from getting swept

The Cavs still have an easy path to the Finals. They just need to hope the Warriors get beat up in the hellish gauntlet that is the Western conference.

That's why they have their one title, after all.

I feel like this is about the 3rd or 4th time I reply telling someone they haven't read the OP, and I leave this quote from the OP for them:

quote:

Further exacerbating James’ frustration is the Cavs were close to making a deal for then-Chicago Bulls All-Star Jimmy Butler the day Gilbert decided to mutually part ways with Griffin and Redden, two people familiar with negotiations told USA TODAY Sports. They requested anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly on the negotiations.

Not be a complete train wreck of a front office that is mocked relentless and widely known as one of the worst, if not the worst front offices in the NBA, that would be a start.

quote:

1 more time for good measure:

quote:

They requested anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly on the negotiations.

I wonder if Bron is ok with Lonzo Ball being his PG in LA or is he bringing Kyrie with?

Pretty sure LeBron would love to have another quality facilitator on the floor.

I'm not reading this entire thread, but this is clearly LeBron pressuring Gilbert to make some moves.

Moves he cannot make because of other years in which Lebron pressured Gilbert to over pay for the guys currently on the roster.

No doubt. I'm sure he wants Melo, but I doubt that's going to happen without moving Love. Swapping those two makes the Cavs instantly worse.

He's held Gilbert's feet to the fire like this with his yearly contracts since he's came back. This isn't new. Cavs just don't have shite to drastically improve this team.
