I've got a blue Nike belt. Black leather for the cooler months.

Either way, gonna be a nice two days of golf.

I've got a brown belt. Isn't that better than a white belt in karate?

ETA: it's also better in golf

Another disappointing round. Driver came around in the last 5 or so holes. We played with the assistant pro again. Think I might see him for a lesson. Said he could get me straightened out. Was hoping he'd start just spurting off what to do on the tee.

48-43 for a 91. I had at least 6 putts lip out. I had great reads and rolled it well. They just werent falling for me.

Had a nice birdie on 16.

So I tried being more aggressive with the downswing on those pitch type shots and I actually hit three decent ones. I Hooked them a few yards left of the green but they were in line with the pin damn near.

Thanks. Was a simple "tip" but it helped me. I don't think I put enough lower body. Perhaps that's why I pulled them, too much arms and I rotated just my shoulders and came across the ball just a little still. Overall for playing a very rushed nine holes I was pretty happy. I hit a beautiful fading seven iron that barely hit a small branch of the wood line I was trying to clear. I hit it really high and really nailed it. Was turning back right just like I hoped and kicked out on the fairway. I couldn't be too mad that I knicked that little branch. It was such a beautiful hit for a second or two.

This game is addicting.

I was thinking about going to the head pro, but after he offered, my thoughts were:

1) He already knows me by name. He plays with me. He knows my game. He'll be better suited for fixing me and will probably put forth more effort.
2) Probably cheaper.
3) Might say "Ill come to you for a lesson and toss in an extra 10 bucks if you give me pointers whenever I totally mess up when we play together."

We'll see though. I have a busy week. I might try and see if I could get a lesson Friday.

The golf gods will give you a few shots when you are struggling that will keep you wanting more.

I hit a low stinger right off the tee on 16. Water surrounds the front of the green. Pin was far side of the green tucked behind a bunker. I hit a blind fade around a tree and carry the bunker. It was beautiful. I didn't even know it was close until someone told me nice shot. Stepped up and drained the birdie to give me something to smile about for my round.

Yeah it's amazing how much a good shot will cheer you up and drive you forward. I hit a damn good six iron too earlier in the course. Fringe around all the greens were soaked. It would have rolled up there giving me an easy birdie put but the ball stuck. Was still happy with it
