Keeps getting moved back. The turf farms got soaked over the weekend. Driving to Bastrop to get MiniVerde and TifEagle today. Planting on Thursday.

Yep. Real nice guy. Bayou Bend Turf I think it's called. I'm interested to see the farm. Acres of grass

Speaking of bunkers, apparently no one at the island has ever raked a bunker

Most of them looked like a million man march just came through them

I love the way lots of people just kick the sand around and walk off, rake can be 5 feet away but they don't bother.

I'll do that if the sand isn't too soft and I can make it look decent with my foot

But this is usually when the rake is...

Sunday when I played I was in one greenside bunker, sand was so hard I couldn't even dig my feet down much at all.....and I weigh 265! Had to just pinch the shot and hope for the best since I would have just skulled it otherwise. I still attempted to rake the bunker, moral of this is stay the frick out of the sand.

one of my lessons once asked me what is the best way to get out of the bunker...I told him don't go in there in the first place (lighthearted of course)

all of this rain in Merion has dampened my interest in watching the US Open....I love to watch the USO b/c of the tight FW's, long rough and fast greens.....

It'll still be all of those except the greens won't be as fast

I found most of them, so I raked because I care.

I think someone, if not several people, will tear that course to shreds

I'm still pumped as hell for the US Open. No way does the rain even come close to dampening my excitement.

I'm still pumped about it, but the rain has taken some of the fun out of it. If the worst comes to pass and they have to play 2 holes on the other course a mile away, you're going to have some pissed off tour pros

Good new for me though is that no matter the condition, it's still th same distance from the couch to the fridge for some more beer.

You and Jakesonaplane decide on a time for Saturday yet?
