I think the Bornstein's are going for cheap these days. Unless the order is originated in Honduras.

I think the shift in momentum was after the Findley sub, not the Bornstein sub. Yeah, we threw everyone forward when JB came out, but when Bedoya came on for Findley, we started owning possession and linking up. I'm not a huge Bedoya fan, but he was damn good out there, and drew the foul that Beasley missed the kick on.

Agreed. Torres looks to be our best set piece option to me.

I was about to go nutso if he would have hit that one shot in the first half from long range. I love that El Gringo Pequeño.

I didn't see any progression from the Confed Cup.
Even there, it took the team a few games to realize that the only way they could win is to stop playing like a bunch of scared, lazy morons.

It's painfully obvious that we don't have the skill to play footsy with a team like Holland for 90 minutes. We have to grow some balls or the WC is going to be a setback for US soccer.

I'm disappointed at how little Landon did.
As said numerous times, Findley and Bornstein are nowhere near good enough to be playing in the WC. I'd rather play with 9 guys.
Torres didn't do anything to make me think he's a top 4 midfielder on this team, especially if Davies keeps Clint in the midfield.
Bocanegra did what he always does and played like a man.

SOOO many of our guys just don't have the nads required to play at this level. That's why if Davies can't go, I hope we take Ching. At least he's not a deer in the headlights.

I don't think Edu did anything better than Torres, I think he just has more chemistry with Bradley. Torres and Bradley both want to get forward.

We don't have the defense for this. Maybe if we played a 4-1-3-2 with the 1 being Jones/Edu at CDM.

I was highly underwhelmed with Torres today. I think he gets a little bit too much love on the MSB because people hate Bradley.

I haven't watched his Mexican league games, and maybe he is awesome there. But he doesn't really fit in with the current line-up, and I think there are better options than him.

It may be Bradley's fault, and he may do much better in another regime, but he is not the man for SA.

I like Torres because he plays better balls than most of our midfielders but you're right that he doesn't fit in to what Bob has us doing. If we're playing kickball, then you need the big center mids not the guy who wants to be in control all the time. Just my opinion of course. He'd start for me.

Yeah, I know. I mentioned earlier for Torres to start we need to play 3 central midfielders. Bradley Edu and Torres would work out for us pretty well. Bob isn't a master tactician though.

This makes sense, but I thought our best play was in the last 10 minutes. Edu plays as a DM and Bradley can attack more. It wasn't Spain in Euro 08 but it still looked good to me.

Yeah, it didn't look bad but to be fair to Jose, he didn't get the chance to play with someone who isn't Findley

Findley flat out sucks. Eddie Johnson also has no idea what the hell he is doing. The drop-off after Jozy and Davies is insane. Either Dempsey or Donovan will have to be the second guy if Davies can't go. I don't know if we should even bother to bring additional forwards to SA besides Jozy.

Cooper is not in good form, Ching sucks, Casey is slower than me, and I think Bradley's already given up on Cunningham.

I wish he would have brought Cunningham to see but I agree. I hope Holden isn't out long so we can put Dempsey up top with Jozy.

I seriously would bring just Jozy and Davies at this point That's terrible, especially with so much depth at this point.
