Should be a fantastic match. Looks like both sides are committed to this one!!

Missing our best player in Dempsey hurts. Also, no Gooch and a lack of depth at forward, but EJ should get serious minutes. No Ching is surprising....
I think this is a trial for Bob to pick between Findley and Johnson. The winner of this battle goes to SA, the loser stays home.

Also Jermaine Jones is at training this morning but not on the roster. Suspicious

Might be a dumb question but what happened to Freddie Adu? Is he just not good enough? Is he hurt? I remember him showing some promise in the U21 world cup (i think that was the tourney).

I still think he has a place in the future, but he just hasn't played enough good club-level soccer for Bradley's taste, I guess. He only recently started getting minutes again, and I'm not sure how it's gone.
He was awesome in that U21 World Cup.

Since it's a slow morning, I'm getting prepared by reliving past glories:

That's weird.... it shows up in the pic, until I close the VLC player, than it disappears. Even with the saved pic on imageshack...
I'm freaking out, man....
Anyway, I'm watching USA / Switzerland from World Cup '94.

It's a good thing we have Tim Howard. Though at first blush the talent disparity seems overwhelming, I think we have a pretty good shot at this one. Our defenders are sure going to have a shot to prove their merit.

Eddie Johnson gets another shot
Now if he can get out of his own head, he could really do some damage.

1:30, that is a really shitty starting time.

Isn't this 7 30 over there. Makes sense

"Eddie Johnson gets another shot"
what will happen first
a. an attempt at controlling a pass bounces off his shinguards 20 yards away
b. he gets a breakaway but then for some reason slows to a crawl allowing defenders to catch him from behind

Screw over there, put it on prime time in the US instead of airing it when most people are at work.

and then people will bitch that it's tape delyaed and everyone know the score. Put in live and re run it on ESPN Classic at night.

I'm betting "a".
Anyone else surprised that Beasley is getting another shot? He was horrible in Confed Cup last summer. Has he been getting playing time at Rangers for a change?

Euros are intimidated by black people, that's why.

Yeah he's been playing off an on for Rangers and this may be his biggest and opportunity to making the World Cup Roster.
