If you cut him before 3/18 when his contract becomes guaranteed, Denver takes a $49 MM cap hit.
Cut him after June 1st, Denver has to pay him $34 million and he counts against the cap. The cap hit in '25 is minor.
Trade him, before June 1st is a $32 million cap hit, save $17 million against the cap if traded after 6/1.
How many pick will they have to give up for a team to take on his contract for a year?
Seattle has cap room if you want to send him with a '25 first round pick.

I think you are right but this was a significant improvement from last year. I commend Payton for making changes and getting ahead of this. Something im afraid the Saints are not going to do.
