to get it they have to kick y’all out the conference

J/k

But both the AAC and MWC deserve one even if they don’t have it. It would help elevate every program in those two conferences

AAC should add Boise St and BYU. Would make the AAC a legit football conference. Better than the ACC.

We already are.

No need to invite the Mormon cheap shots.

5 years ago your jab would have pissed me off. Luckily, Tulane now plays legitimate FBS football.

When you look at the other sports, there is no reason for the AAC to invite them.

The AAC has football only member with Navy and they already tried to get Boise as a member once before.

I didn't say it wasn't. I have been clear about this on many threads discussing this same topic that, in its current form, the AAC will NEVER get a team into the CFP. UCF was probably the greatest G5 team ever assembled, went 14-0 and still didn't get a shot. The AAC needs MORE quality teams. Sitting still does nothing for them. Adding Boise St and BYU gives you two more legit football programs that add to the AAC's growing reputation as the premier G5 conference. Hell i wouldn't stop at adding 2 teams, but that's just me. If the goal is to ultimately make the CFP, then the AAC needs to be doing everything it can to expand and add the highest quality programs it can find.

Expanding past a point makes it hard to support a conference.

The SEC and Big Ten can support 14 because they have CFP and NY5 money coming in as well as good TV money.

The AAC couldn’t support that many because their bowl payoffs and TV contracts aren’t strong enough to be split 14 ways and have schools be happy.

They can bring in a small number of teams like Boise to replace UCONN or have a small expansion but they can’t go full WAC and have a 16 team conference.

Everyone will laugh, but I could see the PAC-12 inviting them.

There is absolutely 0 chance this occurs.

Why not Big 12? Would they really bring less to the conference than TCU and Iowa St?

Put BYU and Boise St. in a north division with West Virginia, Iowa St, and the Kansas teams. Put the Texas and Oklahoma schools in the south, and you’ve got a pretty legit conference.

If VCU is going anywhere, it will be with Dayton to the Big East for Basketball. VCU would be fools to join the AAC for basketball over a possible invitation to the Big East. A Big East with Dayton and VCU would be absolutely great additions!
