In terms of how much money he's getting paid by his organization compared to other NFL franchise quarterbacks.

This is a list of the top 10 NFL quarterbacks that have made the most money from their team the last 3 years. It's great to have a QB that will take a massive pay cut so the team can build around him and win more championships.

UPDATE: With Lamar Jackson officially signing his new contract, Mahomes is outside of the top 10 in pay from his Team.

I thought the Ravens were going to be the ones to stop the nonsense that every new QB contract has to be basically the highest.

Then they caved

Selective memory I see.

"Mahomes, a $450 million contract that he signed during the 2020 offseason to make him the highest-paid player in NFL history. Mahomes is set to make an average of $45 million per season as a part of his contract and will have a cap hit of at least $41.95 million in each season through 2031."

Wouldn't he be on the verge of moving up the list rather than falling off of it with that contract?

A lot of those numbers have to include signing bonuses on contracts they just signed.

Mahomes signed an extension in 2020 that didn’t go into effect until 2021, but he probably got the signing bonus then. Putting it outside the 3 year window being used in the OP.

They should have picked up his 5th-year option. As far as Jones's abilities in a system that caters to his skill set and puts good coaching and talent around him we will see. Daboll is a good start but the Giants blew it when they didn't at least give Jones a warm body at WR at the trade deadline. They couldn't even get Toney on the field before sending him to the SB champs. Seems like the NY Giants front office have made some strange moves so far.

But the Cowboys, Giants, and Commanders better get serious. The Eagles are going to be a problem for a while.

It just shows how out of control these salaries for athletes are becoming. Patrick Mahomes should be the top QB based on what he's done so for in his career, and there is NO WAY these other QBs should be averaging more per season than him. SMH They haven't done anything like what he's done to justify them receiving contracts that average out to be more per season than him.

At the time everyone was saying it would end the chiefs.

Theh jsut won another Super Bowl and history has been made like 9 times since he’s signed.

Anyone who thinks an elite QB isn’t worth it needs to remember that the salary cap will keep going up. Owners want to pay their QBs.
