Update:

Dan Patrick just said per his "source":

Big 10 is over. It was decided 12-2 presidential vote over the weekend.

Only schools that voted to go ahead were Iowa and Nebraska.

Pac 12 is done as well.

Neither want to be the first to say it, though. No announcement today likely tomorrow

ACC and Big 12 on the fence.

SEC is still going ahead and may want to pick off schools from ACC and Big 12 that want to play, negotiate a super tv deal.

Texas and OU want to play.

Says all of this is very fluid and can change.

.....

Travis said this morning that Big 10 are behind all of this. Their Presidents want no CFB, but are afraid to go it alone. They want everyone to fold if they do.

They're using the fear porn media stooges to pressure all other leagues to crumble the season.

Big 10 is pressing Pac 12 to do the same and crest a domino effect, but even Pac 12 is hesitant.

SEC, ACC, Big 12 don't want to cancel.

If no CFB, that means no fall sports period, and likely no spring sports, either. Spring sports are all played inside at peak flu season. Doesn't think vaccine will be widespread by then.

Thats the story, apparently.

I hope players and students sue the ever living frick out of the university and individuals (president and admin) for cancelling the season. Pulling this shite after everyone moving in to their dorms and getting ready when nothing has literally happened since announcing the conference only schedules.

They should all get their tuition back.

The sec should just move to a full on sec schedule. Everyone plays everyone. We all know LSU or Bama was going to be champ anyways. We don’t need the big 10 to play

Lawsuits TO PLAY are the only thing that will get these idiotic presidents' attention. Just have them sign a waiver... Say, "if you don't want to play, don't play, you won't lose your scholarship."

Apparently Iowa football parents are furious and are drafting a letter now. Iowa remember, just finished playing its HS baseball season and even staged the state tournament with lots of fans.

They were the only state that kept going and it was a big success. This will get ugly. The governors are going to have to step in.

I thought I've heard they aren't allowed to do this.

But why? And I don’t want to hear they’re scared to play or liberal stooges trying to screw Trump over in the election. They make huge money too and it will be devastating to their athletic programs to not have sports as well. Are they scared of the lawsuits if, God forbid, a player catches COVID and dies? That at least makes some sense, but why not just say it? Be transparent.

And if there is to be a “new normal,” pet of that new normal unfortunately, is that people are going to continue dying of COVID just like they do of the flu and pneumonia. And an unhealthy offensive or defensive lineman will eventually be one of them. But football players die every year, sadly. There’s just too many of them for the statistics to not present a tragedy or 2. But the alternative can not be to quit living our lives and staying inside forever. What kind of life is that to so desperately try to preserve, anyway. Not one I want to live or have my kids live in perpetuity, anyway.

This falls under the category of be careful what you wish for if you are in the Big 10. They are one of the two truly profitable conferences but if college football is disassembled in 2020 it may be hard to really put back together.

Every one of these universities has multiple Fauci's giving them medical advice. The schools all have epidemiologists and infectious disease doctors who are really running the show.

But that doesn’t automatically make his statement incorrect. Do you disagree with what he said?

I know you don't want to hear it, but it definitely plays some role in it. But it isn't the biggest factor.

This is the main reason why March Madness was canceled and it is the main reason why there will be no college football. We live in such a litigious society full of piece of dogshit lawyers who are drooling at the thought of players or fans catching the virus at a game and dying. Lawyers get wood thinking about that and colleges/conferences get terrified.

Coronabro sports media is awfully quiet this morning as players, ADs, & politicians speak out against the disastrous idea of canceling college athletics for the fall. Where are all the anonymous sources saying playing sports is impossible? Go on the record, cowards.
