Joe Tiller: won 57% of his games at Wyoming and Purdue. Pioneer of the spread offense. Coached a bunch of really good QBs as either OC or HC- Drew Bledsoe, Jim Everett, Drew Brees, Curtis Painter, Kyle Orton

Rich Rodriguez: Viewed as kind of a joke now, but he had West Virginia as a legit power for a 3 year stretch. Revolutionized CFB with his spread option dating back to his Tulane days.

Kyle Whittingham is one bowl victory away from tying Tom Osborne, Lou Holtz, and Urban Meyer for 6th place all-time.

Tommy Tuberville would be looking good for this list for what he did at Ole Miss and Auburn but not so much with Cincinnati and Texas Tech.

Bill Snyder is the GOAT of underrated coaches and statistical cases can be made that he's the GOAT overall.

Couple of good picks already. Was going to say Bill Snyder, Kyle Whottingham, Mike Grundy, Frank Solich, Kirk Ferentz, Jeff Monken and Dana Holgerson.

Joe Tiller:

From 2001-2004 Purdue lost 21 games. 17 of those 21 losses were by a touchdown or less. He came really close to building a top ten program in West Lafayette. He was a terrific coach.

George Welsh- Did a good job at Navy and turned UVA into a respectable program.
Bill McCartney- Turned a program with no history of success and no natural recruiting base into a national power.
Tom O’Brien- Did a really good job at BC and did a better job than he got credit for at NC State.
