I never said I don't care. I personally don't like the move because it will result in the school having to bully some of their fans in the same way that the NFL bullied Saints fans.
However, I like this because it pisses off insecure LSU fans.

Even though ULoL is pathetic, this is no big deal. I am pretty sure LSU has trademarked Geaux Tigers along with many other slogans, symbols and other marks. The main reason universities acquire trademarks is to obtain royalties and licensing fees from retailers and third parties who use the mark in commerce without consent. The fact that ULoL has just recently done it shows how inept its administration is.

How can a school that's in a city not even Cajun get upset when another school that's actually in the heart of Acadiana trademark the phrase "Geaux Cajuns?"
Btw, anyone have a link to who used it first? I do know that Cajun fans have been using it since at least the late 1980's.
