Do you think we can all just get along? Is it possible to support both universities?

When LSU has been saying it for decades, and all of a sudden you guys trademark it now? Yeah it is penis envy dude. Don't try and get too upset from all of this.
Your school isn't even in Acadiana.

Secondly, I thought y'all were just Louisiana? I thought you represented the whole state? Much of the state has far less French influence than BR. So, which is it? Are you going to rep the whole state, or just your region??

The University of Louisiana at Monroe trademarked "Geaux UL" a year ago.

Thank you for bringing that up. Every time I visit Baton Rouge, I immediately take note of its French heritage, and it actually feels like I'm leaving the United States and entering a foreign country. Very unique part of our state.

Unwad your panties, child. BTR is unquestionably a cultural void, but to pretend that it is entirely free of French influence is ignorant.
BOT, I'm not sure why anyone cares why USLL trademarked "Geaux Cajuns". I don't know of any other team with that lame mascot.

Do you honestly believe a city with no cajun or coon arse heritage should use the word Geaux over a city that is known as being in cajun country? There is nothing about BR that is remotely cajun or resembles any cajun culture. ULL didn't trademark the word Geaux, they trade marked Geaux Cajuns. Why would LSU fans give a shite about this?

Yeah, I wish our nickname could be very unique like "Tigers."

I'm an New Orleans transplant living in Lafayette who went to both LSU and USL. FWIW, I NEVER liked the name "Cajuns". USL was, at one time, the Bulldogs. However, LaTech was as well so I guess it was a smart move to change it. The name "Cajun" is indigenous to this area so I admit it does represent. But just overall, I'm one of the few who doesn't like the name "Ragin' Cajuns".

Well i happen to think Ragin Cajuns and Thundering Heard are the 2 best names in college sports. Both are very unique although our mascot leaves a lot to be desired.

Been here 25 years, have yet to hear a word of French spoken. Have had BR natives tell me that they can't understand what people with a thick Cajun accent are saying.
The only thing French about Baton Rouge is its name.
Stick to promoting BR as the home of LSU football, state politics, and chemical plants. Don't even try to brag about Baton Rouge having a current French culture of any kind.
Having a ginger cheerleader spelling out GEAUX in a redneck accent doesn't make you Cajun.

I hope you don't take any offense, because I don't mean any...but I think you are the worst poster on this board.

This is quite possibly the dumbest argument I've ever seen on this board.
