re: ULL Softball Coach Lotief placed on administrative leave (11/1 update: he fired)

Except Bobby Knight won national titles and didn’t lose to LSU.

The guy wanted to fight with the football coach, thought he was the biggest commodity on campus, and really thought people gave a shite about softball. When he ran his mouth to his new bosses it didn't go over too well, especially when the complaints came in to them. The guy is a complete a-hole, that doesn't work in softball it's not BAMA football.

He tells the player that his family are pussies? Come on man.

Its an extremely popular program in Laffy and a very successful one too

Ok we likely will agree on something here. I can't attest for some of these rumors but some of the stuff I have heard is pretty bad as well. I always knew Lotief as a hothead but some of the stuff I have heard doesn't bode well for him.

There is a difference between being tough and being a completely manipulative a-hole who makes comments beyond the sport. I can understand coaches yelling and being very upbeat when players don't perform but to make comments that have absolutely nothing to do with softball is bad. Making comments about someones family members and attacking them personally isn't acceptable IMO
