You guys realize our "legal" name is LSU A&M College, right? Geezus Krist. Some of you are way more petty than the UL fans. It's their "legal" athletics branding. We look like insecure bitches with this childish crap.

ULL should be South(ern)Louisiana
SLU should be East(ern) Louisiana
NW state should be West(ern) Louisiana
ULM should be North(ern) Louisiana
or some different combo

UL Lafayette is an R1 research school, same as UT and UNC, its the highest research classification for a university, only three schools in Louisiana have achieved this classification; LSU Agricultural & Mechanical College, Tulane & UL Lafayette.

This is such a conspiracy. You people blame big bad LSU for everything. We can’t have a major athletic program because LSU holds us back. We don’t get funds from the state because LSU holds us back.
Such a loser mentality. Have your alumni get your money up and it wouldn’t matter. You think Baylor sat around complaining about big bad UT? No they got their shite together and became the best athletic department in Texas. If Baylor can thrive in a state the size of Texas, ULL can thrive in Louisiana. Get off your asses and be better. Quit pointing the finger blaming the next man.

ULL is attempting to put itself on the same, or at least a similar level as LSU by changing its name to “university of Louisiana”
Many people think it’s ridiculous and not justified, so they continue to call it ULL or USL

I’m very familiar with both campuses. The LSU library is very dated. There are a few buildings that are old but same goes for ULL. Griffin hall is a dump. Just like Lockett.
Overall LSU has more nice classrooms than ULL. It’s not even close. ULL people love to rip on the library but never mention anything about all of the brand new engineering facilities.

I think we are thriving, outside of being in a p5 conference we can’t do much better. Football finished top 25 two of the last three seasons. Men’s basketball represented our state in the Men’s NCAA tournament a couple months ago. Our softball team is about to matchup against yours to advance to the super regionals. We are doing just fine.
