"The only thing that matters is USL is ranked #19 in the country" ? The fact is: only because Ohio St. Penn State, Wisconsin, Michigan Oregon, Utah,& possibly USC are not being ranked this season. And how many Power 5 HC's call a time out with the ball on the goal line, 15 seconds left, game won, to run up the score? None.

He called a timeout because he had let the playclock run down all the way down on purpose.
You really expect a coach to kneel on 4th down with time left? Or try kicking a FG when your shitty kicker has already missed 2 chip shot fg's earlier in the game and risk getting it blocked? Running the ball is the correct move there

You do know that Iowa St was ranked 23rd before the season started and the PAC 12 & Big 10 decided to quit playing right?
An 11 win team returning nearly everyone beats #23 on the road in game one. Of course the Cajuns were going to get ranked. They were receiving votes before the season started too.
I’m sorry that it drives you bananas that the Cajuns played a great game. Beat a solid team and got recognition for it.

"Drives me bananas ..."? USL? Nope, sorry. That will never happen. As for calling timeout, if he does not, the clock runs & Iowa State gets the ball back on its goal line with seconds left. He ran up the score. I realize he did it to get attention, by scoring 31 points, for his team but he did run up the score. Coach O had Burrow take a knee on the 5 yard line in the NCG.
