Why didn't they do it Saturday? Didn't want to compete against NBA? Saturday would also give you the cushion to go to Sunday if necessary. If they postpone Sunday, that's a train wreck.

No but there’s no point in being that heavy when he’s typically 225-230 before making light heavy weight, unless he’s added 20-40 pounds of more muscle but at his age that’s only possible with a steroid regiment that would make the 1970’s Bulgarian weightlifting team blush

Maybe mentioned up thread, but why is this event not on network TV? CBS should have it since it's on Paramount.
It's tough to get the entire country to rally behind this event when it's on an app behind a paywall. Bare minimum should be TNT or ESPN.
I'll tune in because I have Paramount+ but many won't because they don't have it.

Yeah months ago Dana talked about broadcasting it free on CBS… at least the opening part with flyover, national anthem etc

When the Paramount deal was first announced, they mentioned that some big cards would be broadcast for free on CBS each year.
So why not this one? Could have been the biggest audience ever for UFC and made fans out of a lot of people new to MMA. More subscriptions for Paramount.
At least put the first 3 fights on CBS for the sake of advertising, I'm sure you'd get some people signing up for Paramount at $8.99 to see the last 4 fights.
I guess they want to strong-arm people into subscribing, but I still think they'd get more subscriptions by having some of it on CBS. Major missed opportunity.

Definitely seems like a missed opportunity to market not only Parmount+ but MMA/UFC to the general public as well, but I'm sure they all have their own marketing plan that's way above my expertise.
