Not sure who can stop Khamzat, why not let Sean have a shot? The pre-fight press conferences would be gold.

That fight went like the odds should have been reversed.

maybe in the 2nd fight. Sean beat DDP in the first fight and was robbed.

Yeah, the camera angle showed Hernandez's back so couldn't see the knee. Crazy how quick it happened. Right at 3 minute mark in the 3rd. He took many jabs before that. Nose bleeding after round 1.

Disagree and the second fight confirmed that.

I think the UFC would love to match Sean with Khamzat next, but they have an Imavov problem.

Oh, that's right. Forgot about Imavov. Guess he does have a strong case for the title shot.

Apparently him and Khamzat are reluctant to fight each other because of Dagestan-Chechnya respect.

Two guys who respect each other vs. Sean who will talk the most trash of all-time about Khamzat.

C'mon, Paramount era, we want fun and excitement

Strickland’s defensive game is elite. One of the very best in UFC.

Strickland's mic got cut off in the presser, it seems. Is Paramount doing that?

Has to be, I don’t remember a mic ever being cut off unless I’m forgetting it happening.

Cutting his mic has created quite a bit of drama in the youtube comment sections. People are not happy about it.

Sounds like we got what we asked for--Strickland vs. Chimaev, UFC 328 on May 9.

MMA Fighting news - Strickland vs. Chimaev

If Strickland gets under Chimaev's skin during the pre-fight press conferences, Chimaev will want to destroy him in the octagon.

You're right, though, Imavov getting passed up a bit.

I guess they said that Sean has a win over Imavov (on short notice too), so that maybe justifies it.

This should be a real test for Paramount and their censorship bulls***. I take it as a good sign that the UFC booked this fight despite Paramount cutting Sean's mic, a necessary brinksmanship, not backing down.

That said, Strickland's trash talk could cause an international incident this time hahah.

I don't know if there's anyone who can beat Khamzat right now, so for me it's like, well at least Strickland will make it entertaining in the lead-up and maybe even a bit during the fight.

Cardio is the one thing people say is Khamzat's weakness, his gas tank. And Strickland is known for out-cardio-ing guys. So there's a little hope and a prayer there.

But I see Strickland enraging Khamzat so much during the lead-up that Khamzat will go berserk on Sean and straight up maul him.
