Rose can pull off short hair. Not many women can.


If I remember correctly, Rose has a history of abuse, I think from a family member. I don't know if she ever went into modeling, some people said she was approached to do modeling, but I don't know if that's true. That's relevant because attention on her looks is not something she likes, apparently. I do remember long ago when she was to fight Paige VanZant, all the talk and hype was on "two hot chicks fighting" and shortly before the fight Rose cut off all of her hair. She said she was offended that there was no talk about the fighting and some speculated that it triggered her abuse issues. I think you can read between the lines here.

It seemed that when Conor attacked the bus in NYC, Rose was affected by that, again something about her past.

I don't know if she's phoning it in or just hit an inflection point and took too much cumulative damage or what. She was great at her peak. Beating Joanna was a masterclass in technique. I remember The Weasel (I think) and others breaking that down. Watching the replay and slow-mo of her footwork was impressive. When she domed Zhang that was amazing.

Probably time for her to retire. She's been at it for a long time. I'm sure she's made a good amount of money.

Speaking of retirement, I saw an interview with Holly Holm. She doesn't want to retire but it's time. She is starting to slur her words a bit. She's going to be HOF for boxing and MMA, she has nothing to prove. Time to fondly look back and move on to coaching or just go live on the beach and enjoy life.
